Q: What makes our coverage unique to others?
A: A-Protect Warranty is the most comprehensive warranty product available in Canada. It is even more comprehensive than the manufacturer’s own extended warranty product solution. We cover virtually any manufactured automobile and are one of the few that offer “Bumper to Bumper” coverage even if the vehicles original manufacturer’s warranty has already expired. You can feel secure knowing that our customer satisfaction rating for claims is 90% and you have a financially stable re-insurer standing behind your service agreement.
   
Q: How is the deductible applied?
A: Your deductible is applied per repair visit. This means, that regardless of the number of items that need to be repaired, you will only pay a required deductible once per repair visit.
   
Q: Do I need to go back to my original dealer for repairs under my used car extended warranty?
A: NO. Once repair needs to be made, you are required to call A-Protect Claim’s Department and obtain a claim number for further proceedings. A-Protect claim’s representative will guide you through process of starting a claim.
   
Q: What is the procedure if i need to file a claim on my used car extended warranty?
A: Telephone A-Protect claim centre during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm EST) at (416) 661-7444 or Toll Free number 1-866-660-6444. Customer needs to obtain a claim number from our claim’s representative, and bring vehicle to the AUTHORIZED Repair Facility by A-PROTECT.
   
Q: If the problem with my vehicle occurs again after a repair was done by A-Protect. (Am I responsible for any extra expenses?)
A: After a repair you are given 12 months warranty. If the same problem occurs within that period, then it’s fully covered by the warranty except for the shop supplies and deductible.
   
 
Q: When does my service agreement become effective?
A: Your service agreement becomes valid only and only when it’s activated with A-PROTECT activation representative, within 20 days from the day of purchase (except for Platinum packages).
   
Q: Is my service agreement renewable? Is my service agreement transferable?
A: YES, you may renew your agreement providing that your vehicle meet our current underwriting guidelines. You also have an option of transferring your service agreement to a private party at any time during the contract term.
   
Q: What is a true bumper-to-bumper warranty?
A: This is the most comprehensive coverage in the industry. As the most comprehensive plan we offer, this plan is designed to extend your original manufacturer’s coverage that your new vehicle came with.
   
Q: How many claims can I make?
A: You can make as many claims as possible as long as total liability over term of this agreement will not exceed the purchase price of the vehicle (excluding taxes).
   
Q: Am I obligated to follow a maintenance schedule?
A: You must simply maintain your vehicle in accordance with your manufacturer’s maintenance and service schedule or perform service every 3 months or 5000 kms. Whichever comes first and keep all original receipts.
   
Q: Do I need a vehicle pre-inspection to purchase warranty?
A: In regular cases A-Protect does not demand pre-inspection to be done if you are purchasing or leasing from the dealer, but we reserve the right to pre-inspect the vehicle within 90 days. However, if you are purchasing or leasing vehicle privately we may require vehicle pre-inspection.
